Developers: pay attention. TapTapTap in conjunction with Taptivate have created an app we all need to study. The following video is not a promotion but an analysis of a few of the things TapTapTap has done to make this a app another smash hit. You’ll have to forgive the um, every other word, um, um syndrome, I need to work on that.
To summarize, Voices has a “wow” idea, a “wow” skin, and a “wow” user experience and they make it easy to share that experience to let their users market the app for them.
Buy the app and check out the MacHeist Tweetblast. Classics, Convert, now Voices: TapTapTap have mastered the craft of making and marketing hit-based iPhone apps. Learn from them.

Try not to say “um” so many times in your next video. Its kind of annoying.
I know, thats the nice thing about… uhmm, blog posts rather than, uhmm, videocasts. Uhmm. I would hate to hear the transcript
I hope for your sake I can improve.
Don’t let the “um” critics get you down… did THEY post this helpful video?
Thanks Bob #2. I don’t blame ‘em. This is my first stab at video blogging so I’m not bothered by it. I think I can overcome it if I practice.
I actually thought the ‘um’ was a stab at going viral.
Cavalcadegames: there you go. Lets go with that.
Don’t worry Jeremy I have a habit of saying ‘um’ a lot – its a delaying tactic so you remember what you are going to say next
Nice review of Voices. I am like yourself in just getting started up and their is a lot to take in but your right in that TapTapTap have got it down to a fine art! Good on them – we can learn a lot from them.
Thanks Gary.
More pressingly, what’s up with your eyebrow?
I think its genetic. It certainly isn’t bleach.
Hey BobStringer, I was just suggesting how he can improve! I myself do the UM thing a lot. And people tell me they hate it too. Just remember, silence (instead of um) is fine. Think of what you are going to say and say it. Don’t feel rushed!
I didn’t catch that eyebrow the first time, but that thing is cool!
Haha, thanks Bob. I read somewhere that one of the first things required to fix the “um” problem is to be aware of it, so I don’t mind being reminded.
