Welcome Ben to Tapity!

September 5th, 2014 Jeremy Jeremy

Wow, things are really hopping here at Tapity. Today we are excited to introduce our second full-time employee, the one and only Ben Samelak!

Ben has always loved design, which is why he graduated from Architecture school at UNC Charlotte. As fate would have it, Ben became a roommate to our other full-time employee, the “prominent designer” Christian Billings. It was Christian who introduced Ben to me, and helped convince him that maybe his love for design could be better used outside the architecture field. Ben decided to test the waters by interning with Tapity. Tired of the never ending limitations of building design, Ben was thrilled to discover a new level of creative freedom here at Tapity.

At Tapity, we love fast learners. In a period of six months Ben as managed to learn how to design and develop websites and help design apps. Now he is learning iOS development and is about to submit his first app. We already depend on him for many projects. We really appreciate his architecture school background, which gave him a great grounding in design thinking. We also love his curiosity in learning about every part of the design process from visual design to interaction problem solving.

Most importantly, Ben is a great friend. We are so happy to welcome him to our Tapity family.

Check out Ryktr, the latest app Ben was instrumental in designing for a client.

We have a few things we want to do before we make a huge buzz about Ryktr but the public beta hit the App Store today so if you love football, give Ryktr a spin on tonight’s games!
